As part of its growing portfolio of works, iAS has recently been jointly awarded works involving repair works to the deteriorating marine structures at Barriera Wharf, Marsa and Msida Quays. iAS views this project as an important aspect in Malta’s aim to further develop the commercial potential of its coastline and an opportunity for staff to further develop its technical competence in repair work on concrete structures and marine environments As part of the works, design engineer David Micallef shall be applying investigation from his current MSc thesis research work, being carried out with the University of Surrey, to the proposed repair works. This approach is consistent with the iAS belief of achieving technical excellence in its consultation work and researching the most effective and advanced technical solutions. |
